Events: All Events. No double entries. No more than SIX entries per event.

 

Cost: $15.00 per competitor including lunch PLUS an additional $7.00 for each additional lunch for judges and observers. Checks should be made out to FGCCFL for the full amount.

 

Food: Closed campus (FGCCFL rule). Please remember to order lunches for all competitors, judges, and coaches. ONE complimentary lunch will be provided to each school for the head coach. Box lunches will be provided by the Honey Baked Ham Store. A vegan lunch option will be available. Please notify of the TOTAL number of lunches and vegan lunches needed prior to Tuesday February 9th at 11:59 PM by email at LangiottiB@pcsb.org. One free lunch will be provided for each school. Concessions and snacks will also be sold in the cafeteria.

 

Judging requirements: One (1) judge for every four IE entries. One (1) judge for every four Congress entries. One (1) judge for every two LD entries. One (1) judge for every two PFD team entries. One (1) judge for each TD team entry. COACHES: Do not count yourself in your judge quota as we must be able to use you where needed!

 

Registration for the tournament:

 

Go to the FGCCFL web site. Click on Online Registration. Download the registration form. Fill it in completely. Save it. Email it to Bill Gibron at bgibron@verizon.net no later than 9 PM on the Tuesday prior to the tournament.  Registration will close Tuesday February 9th at 11:59 PM.

Please be certain you send all required information including student names in correct events, and judge names in pools of IE, Congress, LD, PFD, or TD. Your number of judges in each pool must match the student entries.

Please note: “The Executive Committee may levy additional tournament fees of $25.00 for late registration, any changes made on the tournament morning, a dropped entry on the tournament day, a dropped entry not declared before the start of the first round, or a failure of a judge to report for a scheduled round.”

 

Tournament Day Registration:  7:30 – 8:00 in the media center. Only the team coach or designee should process through the registration line.  Students should report to the cafeteria.  Judges should report to the media center.

 

CONGRESS RULES:

 

Every school entering Student Congress must supply one (1) piece of Legislation per every two (2) participants in Student Congress.

 

Legislation should be written in NCFL format and should include the author’s name and school

Full text copy must be submitted as an attachment with your online registration. One copy should be turned in at final registration on Saturday. Copies will NOT be made at the tournament site.

 

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

Directions from north (Tampa) I-75 or I-4: Take I-75 south or I-4 west to the I-275 junction. Merge onto I-275 S. Take the 54TH AVE N exit, EXIT 26. Turn LEFT onto 54TH AVE N. Turn LEFT onto 16TH ST N. The school will be immediately on the left. DO NOT PARK IN THE FRONT CIRCLE. Continue on 16th street past the football field and turn left at the light into the football parking lot. Go all the way to the back of the lot and you will be near the cafeteria.

 

Directions from South (Satasota) I-75: Merge onto I-275 N (Portions toll). Take the 54TH AVE N EASTBOUND exit, EXIT 26A. Merge onto 54TH AVE N. Turn LEFT onto 16TH ST N. The school will be immediately on the left. DO NOT PARK IN THE FRONT CIRCLE. Continue on 16th street past the football field and turn left at the light into the football parking lot. Go all the way to the back of the lot and you will be near the cafeteria.
